What are aim and objectives ?

Aims are statements of intent. They are usually written in broad terms. They set out what you hope to achieve at the end of the project. Objectives, on the other hand, should be specific statements that define measurable ouittcomes, e.g. what steps will be taken to achieve the desired outcome.

IN SHORT...

Aim =  what you hope to achieve. Objective = the action(s) you will take in order to achieve the aim.

Pre-Schools should aim to provide high quality care and education for children and a secure foundation for learning in an encouraging and nurturing environment, where there is an equality of opportunity and support for all and where staff and parents or carers work in close partnership.

It is important because the aims and objective help the teachers as well the schools to contribute significantly to the development of preschool children and to the quality of preschool education while guiding both managers and preschool teachers at the same time.
